Dementia & Culture Network

We are an interdisciplinary network of academics and other professionals and stakeholders working in the field of dementia and cultural narratives. We believe that the cultural and social dimensions of dementia cannot be adequately understood within the confines of traditional disciplinary silos. As such, this network transcends disciplinary boundaries, including academics from a wide variety of fields, many of whom already work in a multidisciplinary context.

 

Dementia is a matter of international debate, and thus the network seeks to reflect and promote the comparative and international nature of research, whilst also recognising the specific local and national contexts in which dementia is experienced. The aim of this network is to promote collaboration among academics and between academics and non-academics from different countries.
